Coming Up in April & May

Sunken Gardeners

Come to the Sunken Garden to see the bee sculpture, titled ‘To Bee Seen’, created by artist Louis Michel during the Eco Fair last October .The Bee has been planted with native climbing plants that are taking root and will climb their way through the sculpture bringing more essential plants for the pollinators that it represents into the Garden.

Saturday 26th April, 10am to 12noon
Come to a Masterclass in Dividing Perennials & Grasses on the Community Gardening Day at the Sunken Garden.
Community Gardening is a fun activity for all the family in a wonderful outdoor space and everyone is welcome to join us in the garden, no experience is needed.

Saturday 26th April, from 1pm
You’ll find Sunken Gardener Peter Hasted answering questions about the Sunken Garden and growing coastal plants in the Ask an Expert section at Birchington Garden & Food Fair, Dog Acre, Birchington-on-Sea CT7 9EG

Sunday 18th May, 12 noon to 6pm 
You’ll find the Sunken Garden Society at the Ellington Park May Fayre, Park Road, Ramsgate CT11 9TL – look out for the Sunken Gardeners banner on our gazebo, come and find out more about the Sunken Garden, sow some seeds and buy some plants for your garden.

Saturday 31st May, 10am to 12noon
Join the regular Community Gardening Day at the Sunken Garden, Royal Esplanade, Westbrook, Margate CT9 5EJ. There will be a free Chelsea Chop Master Class during the morning.

Everyone is welcome, whatever your level of gardening knowledge, it’s a lovely way to spend a couple of hours in nature.
